Red Wine

Castello di Barbialla is a Tuscan red (Sangiovese 80%, Merlot 10%, Petit Verdot 10%) which encapsulates all the hallmarks of a superlative wine.

Possessing body and concentration on the one hand and suppleness, texture, and amplitude on the other, it masterfully succeeds in fusing the seemingly contrary characteristics desirable of the finest vintages.

This is a full-bodied wine with dark fruit notes, hints of cocoa from aging in French oak, and a long, luscious finish.

At Barbialla, the production of a characterful red wine of prestigious quality has been intricately planned from inception.

The Castello di Barbialla Chardonnay is a unique, small production lot, crafted and aged in the Burgundian style. It is both fermented in the barrel and barrel-aged in French oak for six months.

This special wine is full-bodied and rich with ample apple flavours and a touch of tobacco. The Barbialla wines are of breed and refinement. They are intended for a market of connoisseurs who seek the true character of the grapes as well as the imprint which the territory imbues.

At Barbialla, there is no intention to impress, merely to convince with wines of absolute authenticity to their origins.
